October 9, 2018F irefighter Exam #7001 Candidates visited St. Andrew’s Park in Brooklyn today to complete Introduction to CPAT and hose line advancement instruction, calisthenics drills and more to learn exactly how they should be preparing for the next steps in our hiring process.
“The FDNY is happy to have you here training with our Firefighters today. A properly informed Candidate is what we want each of you to be throughout the hiring process and today is all about learning what you should be doing while you wait for your turn to complete our hiring exams,” Office of Recruitment and Retention Deputy Director Yvonne Moore said to more than 450 aspiring Firefighters in attendance. “We also want you to take this opportunity to learn about the many ways our members help the communities they serve each day.”
This latest education session was part of our Mobile Academy Event, which brings portions of our Academy training to different boroughs in New York City to help potential employees learn about joining the FDNY.
