Acting Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, members of the FDNY Hispanic Society and the FDNY family gathered on Sept. 30 in The Bronx to celebrate the society’s Annual Dinner Dance. As part of the event, Lieutenants Jorge Torres and George Diaz, who are both past presidents of the society, were honored for their years of dedicated service. In addition, four young professionals were awarded with scholarships.
The event, which paid tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month, also featured the legendary DJ Enuff on the 1s and 2s.
