January 20, 2020Join the FDNY in Celebrating Valentine’s Day 2020
February 14, 2020I t’s Lunar New Year 2020 and we caught up with Station 55 Lieutenant Randy Li to learn more about what the Chinese New Year means to him.
“Lunar New Year is a time for me to represent my culture. It gives me the chance to reconnect with my family and celebrate. During this time of the year, I focus on doing things purposefully to prepare for the new year. I embrace these values and this is an important time to prepare yourself to receive essential good things throughout the rest of the year,” said the Lieutenant, who serves in The Bronx. “I love my career because it is versatile and it allows for flexibility. I’m here to help people and whenever I’m not helping patients, I’m helping the members at my station.”
Our recognition of this year’s holiday also featured our recruiters sharing information about our rewarding careers in Chinatown on Feb. 9 as part of the FDNY’s participation in the 2020 Lunar New Year Parade. View more photos from the celebration here.
