Meet Probationary Firefighter Asaad Kumandan!
Kumandan is assigned to Engine 220, a block away from where he grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn. He says becoming a Firefighter is a childhood dream come true. This #aapiheritagemonth we thank him for his dedication.

On Sunday, the @FDNYfoundation held its 3rd annual Climb to Summit at One Vanderbilt. Hundreds of participants raced up 1,100 feet to highlight the importance of physical fitness for Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics.
