Shout-out to the 40 FDNY Youth members who completed the 2022 FDNY Summer Leadership Academy at Fort Totten this week. The group, which includes both FDNY Captain Vernon A. Richard High School for Fire and Life Safety students and FDNY Explorers, participated in physical and academic training at our EMS Academy as part of their efforts to prepare for the new school year and learn more about working for our Department.
Earlier today, FDNY members and special guests gathered at our headquarters in Brooklyn to recognize the teens for their outstanding hard work, dedication and enthusiasm throughout the challenging training. View more photos from the ceremony here.
